The rolling hills of Central Otago are awe inspiring.

Arrowtown cabin

I have just spent the weekend in Central Otago which is a photographer's paradise. This little cabin is near the Chinese settlement in Arrowtown.

Reflections

The weather was absolutely perfect in the Bay of Plenty. I was taken with the reflections over the still water of this estuary.

Bay of Plenty

I have been up in the Bay of Plenty filming in two secondary schools. I had to stop at the beach with my camera, it was magic.

Rural rainbow

On the way out to the airport again today, this time to pick up my mum on a visit from Perth. I had to stop and capture the rainbow, the light was beautiful.

Saturday morning coffee

Photo walk

I decided I needed a break at lunch time today so I took myself down to the local cafe for lunch. I took my camera and counted my steps. Every 100 steps I stopped and took a photo until I reached the cafe. I had my 50mm prime lens so there was no zooming which added to the fun. You might want to click on the image above to enlarge it. Was a fun way to look for things I wouldn't normally snap.

Cows on the way to the airport

I always find it strange driving out through the country to get to the Dunedin Airport. It is so far away from the city, through beautiful scenery but still, it is a pain - no bus, no train to get out there, you have to either drive or get a shuttle.

Dunedin Art Gallery

I love how colourful this part of the Dunedin Art Gallery is. This is taken on the iphone so there is a lot of noise, but still gives me a sense of joy and happiness from its quirky feel.

Wellington blue sky

A friend of mine is always marveling at the blue skies around Wellington, so I had to try to capture one.

The Portland Hotel

When I go to Wellington for work I stay at the Portland Hotel (It's actually a Kingsgate hotel but I think it used to be called the Portland). Anyway, they have the same piece of artwork on the wall in every single room.

Sunday run

I went for a walk with my camera since it will be quite a while until I can run again. These sheds line the route where I normally run around the wharf.
