Spider web

The warm sunshine is not going to be with us much longer, so I loved catching this web and the sparkles.

Stars on 45

I have these 45s on the wall of my office. They were not selected for any reason, I just grabbed a random handful from our collection to make my flower pattern. In case you are interested here they are:

1. Here come the Aussies, the Australian cricket team 1972
2. Grease
3. A mean pair of jeans, Marty Rhone
4. The Stroke, Billy Squier
5. It's my house, Diana Ross
6. TNT, ACDC
7. Baker Street, Gerry Rafferty

White door

Another industrial shot from my run. I like the frame within the frame.

Tilt shift

Today is a holiday in Dunedin (Otago Anniversary Day) so I have been whiling away my time playing with photos in Photoshop. I followed this tilt shift tutorial on the image above (you may need to select the image to enlarge it to see the difference). It works better with a bird's eye view photo, but it was fun playing.

Blue door

Part of the industrial landscape where I take my Sunday run.

New handbag

I had to indulge my handbag fetish this weekend. But it was a necessity.

Rock for Christchurch

The kids from Otago Girls and Otago Boys High School put on a 'Rock for Christchurch' charity gig tonight. From a rough estimate of the crowd they raised well over $1000. Gunslinger reclaimed the stage where they won Battle of the Bands 2010.

Dunedin Musicians Club

The boys played to their largest crowd yet to great applause.

Relay

Here's a shot from the 'real' camera. I suppose it doesn't matter which camera you use as long as you catch the moment.

Sunset framed

I was having dinner at the Esplanade at St Clair tonight when I noticed the view, so out came the iphone.

Restricted

I run around the wharf and harbour in Dunedin, it is such a beautiful harbour however has never been used in a way that everyone can enjoy it.

Crane

On my run yesterday I had to snap this huge crane which has been living at the Otago Settler's Museum for quite a while as they complete their renovations.

Until

Another cemetery shot. I was taken with the words I found on various headstones - resting - sacred - beloved... This one word, broken from some long forgotten grave, seemed very poignant - Until...

Forgotten

I went for a walk in the local cemetery this afternoon. Lots of very old graves in various states of disrepair.

Smash the system

Graffiti spotted in Dunedin. I wonder which particular system they would be referring to?

Circles

I went for a run down to St Clair beach and these circles all jumped into my consciousness. I have been there so many times but never noticed how many there were. I snapped this with the iPhone but will have to go down in the glorious sunrise and grab a shot with the light dancing.

QR codes

This image is from the first day of the Learning@School conference in Rotorua, snapped quickly on my iPhone. Allanah has had a pair of earrings made with QR codes on them. Reading them with the iPhone was almost impossible as she kept giggling and jiggling. People must have wondered what we were all doing with Allanah on the floor right at the entrance of the conference centre with Erin scanning her earlobes.
