I was working in the library on the weekend, and had my camera sitting next to me. Whenever I got frustrated or needed a break I swivelled in my chair and snapped away. People must have thought I was nuts.

Cottage in the morning

On a run out to the airport this morning there was a delightful frost giving everything a mystical air. I have always liked this little cottage and today finally managed to stop and take a photo.

Angry birds

I noticed this fellow tucking into my berries out of my office window. Camera was in close reach, so ... snap.

Begging for treats

Whenever I go to the pantry Jessica Bunny comes running because she knows this is where her treats are kept. She always stands up tall on her hind legs to ask for treats. How can you say no to that face?

#1 and #3 were having a texting race. As you do.

Rock

I really like the lighting effect on this photo. The band were playing in a venue on the university campus during the day time. The windows were covered with black curtains with tears through them, a lot of the lighting was sunlight sneaking through. It made for some fun shots.

I think I was in Katikati when I took this photo (confession, my NZ geography is a little sketchy). It was a perfect day in every way.

I was a good girl today and went for a walk instead of a run, since everyone in a medical capacity seems to be telling me not to run. I may listen for a little while. Anyway, the ducks were enjoying their pond.

I am in Auckland and have just finished interviewing an amazing English specialist who leads ICT in her secondary school. There are amazing teachers in this country, our kids are so lucky. Anyway, this is an image I noticed in my hotel as I was lugging all my camera gear up to my room.

I'm off to Auckland in the morning to visit two more schools and do some filming. I took this image the last time I stayed at Sky City, but never got around to posting it.

I took mum to Port Chalmers to walk around the trinket and vintage shops. There is a lovely vintage shop that used to be called "The only one interested in what your grandmother had was your grandfather". This is the local.
