I have a thesis due soon. When I get overwhelmed I find other things to do like chop down trees and tidy up the garden. A friend said to me, "You would live in a jungle if you didn't have deadlines". Funny.
Nice use of depth of field. Maybe the focus on gardening allows your brain to re-focus on the depth of field it needs to focus on what it needs to process all that information.
Bit confused by the use of focus 3 times in Allanah's comment - I think your brain needs the quiet and simplicity of the garden to reflect, sort out, and order the information in your head.
